Million Dollar Baby Event

Million Dollar Baby Event: For our Open House Event, we decided to utilize our apartment space for RLC purposes for the first time! We watched Million Dollar Baby, starring Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and Hilary Swank. We had up to our limit with 12 in attendance. We arranged our furniture to resemble a poor budget movie theatre, but it was still a nice atmosphere. Prior, Res Life stopped by with a nice arrange of snacks and the perfect movie munchies so that definitely added.

The movie was AMAZING. I have never seen it before, but we selected the boxing movie with the hopes of attracting both men and women in our event. The gender discrepancies were obvious from the start, when Clint Eastwood's character says, "I don't train girls." But Swank's character improves in her boxing talent and she finds the father she never had in Eastwood. The ending of the movie was a definite tear jerker. I did not expect the end result! I won't give anything away for anyone who hasn't seen it, but there was not one dry eye after the movie was over! We found this event to be a success!
